Meet the Team!
Victoria John trained at Rose Bruford College. Her credits include The Suicide and A Chorus of Disapproval (Theatr Clwyd Cymru), Cast Offs (Channel 4), Little Britain (BBC) and Telling the Bees (BBC Radio 4.) V quickly understood that professional diversification was essential to achieving longevity as an Actress – so she also works within Education and organises Community Events! Working in Education means designing and delivering a wide range of workshops to students from Year 7 to 11 which she has been enjoying for over 5 years. Community Event organising means exactly that! Creating events for local communities which offer entertainment and information about local groups and services.
V loves working with people and being involved in anything that challenges and inspires. She has big plans for Velvet Ensemble and is so thrilled that so many people who she admires are coming along for the ride!

Charlotte Gray was born and raised in Nantyglo, in the heart of the south east Welsh valleys. From an early age, Charlotte expressed an interest in the arts, but there were few opportunities to allow her to explore them. At 16 Charlotte gained a place at The National Youth Theatre of Wales, and with help from her local community raised the funds to attend the summer school which set alight the passion for theatre. She went on to study at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, where she spent three wonderful years training to be a professional Actor.
Since graduating, Charlotte has thoroughly enjoyed working as a successful actor, in film, television and her main passion theatre. She has toured Britain, working for numerous theatre companies.
It was whilst working at Theatr Clwyd Cymru that Charlotte met and worked with V. Charlotte felt instantly excited and inspired to meet someone who shared her passion for creating theatre, and facilitating the arts, especially in areas which are often overlooked. Charlotte is passionate about how theatre can educate and entertain and believes that Velvet Ensemble has an exciting and bright future.
